Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment

Dr. Swanson will provide gentle, hands-on treatments to encourage your body into a more balanced state and toward self-healing. For more information about osteopathy and it’s history, click below:

  • 90 minute new adult patient visit. Expect 30 minutes of history review and discussion, and about 60 minutes of treatment. Treatments are gentle, and generally not painful. They are often relaxing. 

  • 60 minute return adult patient visit: Expect 10-15 minutes of discussion and 45-50 minutes of treatment. This can be adjusted as needed. 

  • 60 minute new pediatric (0-18 years) patient visit: Expect about 30 minutes of history review and discussion, and about 30 minutes of treatment. Treatments are gentle and not painful. 

  • 60 minute return pediatric (0-18 years) patient visit: Expect about 15-30 minutes of discussion and 30-45 minutes of treatment. This can be adjusted as needed. 



Medical Reviews / Advocate

If you've ever felt overwhelmed by your medications, diagnoses, or treatment plans, a deep dive medical review is for you. Dr. Swanson will work with you to review your history, your diagnostics, and your treatment - no matter how many doctors or specialists are involved. She will review how your current health issues impact your life, both now and in the future, for you to better understand your health. You will leave with a better understanding of your own conditions and with a packet of information to reference in the future. This empowering service helps you take your care into your own hands. A free, 15 minute phone consultation is required before any visits are scheduled.

Dr. Swanson may also be able to attend appointments with you once she has reviewed your history and medical plans. She will serve as a ‘medical translator’ - helping you make sense of your visit and get your questions answered.

Breastfeeding and Lactation Medicine

In addition to being a board-certified family medicine physician, Dr. Swanson is an IBCLC(international board certified lactation consultant). She has some of the most advanced and progressive training in lactation and breastfeeding medicine available. She also can use her skills as an osteopath to help gently and safely treat you and your baby with hands-on care. She is excited to help support you in your feeding journey. She can help with the following issues:

  • lactation support at any phase or stage

  • pain

  • latch difficulty

  • inducing lactation or re-lactation

  • torticollis

  • positioning difficulty

  • low milk supply

  • high milk supply

  • mastitis and plugged ducts

  • any other concern with lactation
